Hanoch Shalit, Phd
Mr. Shalit is currently on the Board of Directors of HOI and oversees the division of Technology and Innovation. His long and impressive experience and achievements in this area provide an edge to our Investors as he provides hands on guidance to our Venture Capital and Private Equity positions.
Mr. Shalit is a seasoned executive with thirty years’ experience in the High Technology industry as CEO and Director in many private and public companies in the US, Israel and the EU. His entrepreneurial approach and creative initiative enabled many start up projects to become mature and profitable companies.
Dr. Shalit is a consultant to two agencies of the US federal government and to High Tech corporations in the US, EU, Israel, and China. He has been recently selected to become an official “Expert” of the EU for the evaluation of the FP7 high tech grants program in Brussels. Dr. Shalit is a graduate of London University, King’s College, with a Ph.D. in Physics.
He has been granted seven patents in the US, EU and Japan, and two current patent applications are pending. His achievements have earned him a broad accolade of honors including forty citations in Who’s Who registries.
He is a Director on the Board of Directors of several high tech companies and on the Board of the Performing Arts Conservatory of New York.
He is an Israeli, Cypriot (Honourable) citizen and resides in Nicosia with wife and two children. He speaks English, Hebrew, French, and Polish (learning Greek).
